Overview
The Banach NAWA Scholarship 2026 is a fully funded scholarship program offered by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). It provides international students from eligible developing countries the opportunity to pursue Master’s (second-cycle) studies at public universities in Poland.
The program aims to support academic and professional development by giving access to high-quality education in Europe. Students can study in either English or Polish, and a preparatory language course is available for applicants who need it.
Eligibility
- To be eligible for the Banach NAWA Scholarship 2026, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of an eligible country (Nigeria included)
- Not hold Polish citizenship and must not have applied for it
- Plan to begin Master’s (second-cycle) studies in Poland from October 2026
- Have obtained a Bachelor’s degree no earlier than 2024, OR be in the final year and graduate by July 15, 2026
- Not already hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent)
- Must not have previously received a scholarship from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange

- Applicants must meet ONE of the following:
- English Track:
- Minimum B2 level in English
- Polish Track:
- Minimum B1 level (for preparatory course), OR
- Minimum B2 level (for direct Master’s in Polish)

- Albania, Angola, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kosovo, Lebanon, Mexico, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Palestine, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Rwanda, Senegal, Serbia, Tanzania, Tunisia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and others.

Requirements
- Passport data page
- Bachelor’s degree certificate or proof of graduation status
- Academic transcripts with GPA/grades
- Language proficiency certificate (English or Polish)
- Proof of application or admission to a Polish university
- Short self-presentation video (1–3 minutes)
- Optional: recommendation letter from Polish diplomatic mission

2 Choose your preferred study path:
- English-taught program
- Polish-taught program (with or without preparatory course)
3 Apply separately to a university in Poland
4 Upload required documents:
- Passport
- Academic transcripts
- Language certificate
- Proof of university application/admission
- Short self-introduction video (1–3 minutes)

Results announced: July 31, 2026
Only 1 application per applicant allowed
Applicants must apply to both NAWA and a university separately
Preparatory course lasts 1 academic year (if selected)
Selection is highly competitive and merit-based
