Overview

The British Council in partnership with the University of Edinburgh is offering the GREAT Scholarships 2026 for international students.

This scholarship provides a minimum of £10,000 towards tuition fees for students pursuing a one-year postgraduate (Master’s) degree in the UK.

The GREAT Scholarships programme is available across multiple UK universities, supporting students from selected countries to access world-class education.

Eligibility

  • Must be a citizen and resident of:
  • Ghana
  • Mexico
  • Thailand
  • Must have applied and received an offer for a full-time, on-campus MSc programme
  • Must meet academic excellence requirements (equivalent to a UK first-class degree)
  • Must be willing to act as a scholarship ambassador
